What is the importance of pest control in a commercial building? Incredibly important! Whether that building is a warehouse, restaurant, pizza place, or an office, every last one of them needs a regular pest control program that addresses the common pests that infiltrate those kinds of businesses at the very least.

These days we have an abundance of people posters. What are they you ask? They are the general public, armed with a phone, camera, and a social media platform. If you allow your commercial business to go without pest control, you are risking a blowback of social media fury.

Office building workers who come into work every morning to find mouse droppings on their desks will get fed up and either report the business to OSHA or they will post about it. People coming into a bar or bakery and see flies floating around or a roach will blast the business on social media.

It used to be that one mistreated customer will tell 10 of their friends and that could be bad for business, well guess what, that was the olden days, now with Facebook and other social media the customer’s bad experience is spread like wildfire on neighborhood group pages and the like, leaving the business looking bad.

So why not have a solid pest control program in place with a company you can communicate with and a company who cares about your business like it’s their own. Think of it as insurance. I never understood why a restaurant would scale back from a weekly pest control visit to a monthly pest control visit to save money. With all the people and staff who come and go from that establishment to all the orders and boxes they receive in a month, by the time the pest control cm0pany returned a month later a whole new raging infestation could have taken hold.

Do yourself a favor, don’t skimp on your commercial pest control. Weekly is better, with a company who cares. Don’t do it yourself, don’t go with the lowest bid, hire like your business depends on it, because it does.
